Three days of festival between devotion, games in the square, tenores and Sardinian dances. A spiritual legacy alive since 1624.
From 9 to 11 September Illorai celebrates San Nicola da Tolentino, a devotion the village keeps as the spiritual legacy of the Augustinian presence: the convent, founded in 1624, remained active until 1765.
On 9 September the feast opens with solemn vespers and an afternoon of games in the square for the children, followed by music, karaoke and Sardinian dances.
On 10 September at 6 pm the solemn mass, sung by the Melàbrina women's choir directed by Barbara Cossu, followed by the procession of the Saint through the streets of the village. In the evening, tenores and folk groups.
On 11 September the feast closes with music, conviviality and the traditional lottery with prizes offered by the community.
