Bringing the Janas festival back to Illorai: meeting on 13 November

We were founded to give something back to the village: to celebrate its places, its people and its traditions. We are giving it everything we have, and we thank everyone for their constant support.

Now we want to take a bigger step: bringing the Janas festival back to Illorai in spring 2027, most likely on the first or second weekend of May. Its shape and its name we will decide together. What matters is giving Illorai a credible showcase, able to tell visitors and Illorai's own people about the value and beauty of our village: a route through the streets of the old centre with food stops, open wine cellars, stalls and live demonstrations of traditional crafts, from bread to cheese making.

Shepherds, artisans, professionals, choirs, associations, anyone with a talent or a pair of free hands: everyone can help make the community shine while sharing a day of celebration. This time we will need the hands-on help of all the associations and of every private citizen who wishes to take part.

First of all, though, let's talk about it together. The organising meeting is on Friday 13 November 2026 at 7:30 pm at the former primary school (ex Elementari).

On the agenda: promotional material for Illorai; food stops and stalls, how to take part and sign-ups by 10 March; the route, the decorations and the attractions along the streets; hospitality and beds for visitors.
